Controversy surrounds Iran’s ongoing attempts to develop the nuclear fission capabilities that could lead to nuclear weapons. Violent Islamist militants from ISIS and Al Qaeda struggle to revive their forces. The tiny nation of Israel struggles for peace, while neighboring Palestinians demand better conditions and more control in their West Bank and Gaza Strip strongholds. Will wars and conflicts continue in the Middle East? Prophetic Sign Number 1: Watch For Military Alliances Forming East of the Euphrates River

Warm greetings to all our friends around the world!

Many of us worry, express concern, and even become frightened when we read in our daily news about the wars, conflicts, and terrorism in many parts of the world. Troubles in the Middle East, in particular, affect not just the Jewish people, but also billions of Christians and Muslims. Controversy flared in May 2018 when the United States moved its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. American members of Congress remain divided over Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. While many nations around the world call Israel an “apartheid” state and make demands on behalf of the region’s Arabs and Palestinians, the United States has remained firm as one of Israel’s few staunch allies around the globe. Will this change? Will Israel thrive, or even survive as a Jewish nation? Will it survive at all?

My friends, there IS good news for the future! Bible prophecy reveals the sequence of events leading up to the return of Jesus Christ to establish the glorious Kingdom of God. Scripture reveals, and in fact guarantees, that world peace will ultimately reign in the Middle East—and on all of planet Earth! Some of you older viewers may remember the Iran-Iraq war, which lasted from 1980 to 1988. More than a million people were killed in that war between Muslim nations. The Euphrates River was a focal point of that conflict. Your Bible reveals that the Euphrates River will be a key strategic position at the end of this present age.

Prophetic Sign number one is: WATCH FOR MILITARY ALLIANCES FORMING EAST OF THE EUPHRATES RIVER.

If you have your Bible, turn to the book of Revelation, chapter 9. REVELATION 9:13:

“Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’ So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to KILL A THIRD OF MANKIND. Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.” (Revelation 9:13–16).

My friends, this is describing another world war! And this phase of World War III will kill not just millions, but even BILLIONS of human beings! Jesus Christ said that unless those days were shortened no flesh would be saved—all life on earth would be destroyed. That’s in Matthew 24:21–22. Look on any map and you’ll see that those nations east of the Euphrates include Iran, India, China, and Russia. And an army of 200 million will form in this area and march to the Euphrates. Even now, China is taking steps to strengthen its military force. Consider this report: “China’s economy is the second-largest in the world, and it’s on the path to overtake the US’s in absolute GDP by 2030 — giving China the ability to spend far more resources on its military than in previous decades. From 1996 to 2015, China increased its military spending by 620 percent” (“China's military power may surpass the US’s faster than you think,” Business Insider, August 26, 2019). The European Union, which as we will see is prophesied to intervene on Israel’s behalf, is facing growing economic crises even as China expands. Prophetic Sign number one is: WATCH FOR MILITARY ALLIANCES FORMING EAST OF THE EUPHRATES RIVER.

Prophetic Sign Number 2: Watch For Growing Unity Among Israel’s Traditional Enemies

Some of you older viewers may remember the “Six-Day War” of June 1967. Israel fought the combined forces of Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. Israel captured the Sinai Peninsula, the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem. Now Israel had access to the holy places, including the Western Wall or Wailing Wall at the Temple Mount. Six years later, in the Yom Kippur War, Israel repelled invasions by Egypt and Syria. Israel, Egypt, and Jordan later agreed on a UN cease-fire. In 1978, Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accords, returning to Egypt most of the captured Sinai Peninsula, except for the Gaza Strip. In 1980, Israel annexed East Jerusalem and declared the unified city part of Israel, against the protests of Arab forces and their allies. After ongoing violence known as the first intifada, Israel put large portions of the West Bank under Palestinian Authority control in December 1994.

Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip and West Bank face tight restrictions on movement in and out of Israel. Even in the United States, perhaps Israel’s strongest and most generous ally, voices are increasingly calling on Israel to remove restrictions on Palestinians and to give greater autonomy to the Palestinian Authority. The BDS—“Boycott, Divest, and Sanction”—movement against Israel is a growing source of controversy among those critical of [Israeli] policies.

Will world opinion turn further against Israel? Will Arab nations mount another major military attack against the Jewish nation? Will world leaders seek to put Jerusalem under international control? Prophetic Sign Number 3: Watch For International Attempts To Control Jerusalem

In the first part of our program, we saw that Bible prophecy foretells a massive military invasion of the Middle East. We saw that Arab nations have united against Israel, and have marshalled world opinion to support them. Prophetic Sign number one was: WATCH FOR MILITARY ALLIANCES FORMING EAST OF THE EUPHRATES RIVER. Prophetic Sign number two: WATCH FOR GROWING UNITY AMONG ISRAEL’S TRADITIONAL ENEMIES. Prophetic Sign number three is: WATCH FOR INTERNATIONAL ATTEMPTS TO CONTROL JERUSALEM.

Bible prophecy reveals that Jerusalem will be a focus of major international conflicts. Jerusalem is considered holy to three of the world’s major religions. To Jews, Jerusalem was the city of the great prophets, and the capital of the Kingdom of Israel and Judah under King David and his son King Solomon. The first and second temples were the center of worship until the destruction of the city by the Romans in 70 AD. Jerusalem is also the third most holy city of Islam, after the cities of Mecca and Medina. Today the Islamic Mosque of Omar, or the Dome of the Rock, dominates the Temple Mount. It is believed that the prophet Mohammed ascended to Heaven from that site. Christians revere the city as the place where their Savior was crucified. And where He taught in the Temple. Christians believe Jesus will return to establish His Kingdom with Jerusalem as world capital.

Many in the international community are very concerned about the status of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Roman Catholic Pope Francis, in July of 2018, stated: “We look to Jerusalem, a city for all peoples, a unique and sacred city for Christians, Jews and Muslims from all over the world, whose identity and vocation must be preserved beyond the various disputes and tensions, and whose status quo demands to be respected as decided by the international community and repeatedly requested by the Christian communities of the Holy Land. Only a negotiated solution between Israelis and Palestinians, firmly desired and favored by the Community of Nations, can lead to a stable and lasting peace, and ensure the coexistence of two states for two peoples” (“Jerusalem: A City for All,” Vatican News, March 30, 2019).

The “Community of Nations”? You may be shocked to learn that the Bible prophesies that indeed, in the future, Jerusalem will be controlled NOT by Israel, but by other governmental powers. Turn in your Bible to the book of REVELATION or Apocalypse. REVELATION, chapter 11. The Apostle John wrote in REVELATION 11:1, “Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood, saying, ‘Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and those who worship there. But leave out the court which is outside the temple, and do not measure it, for it has been GIVEN TO THE GENTILES. And they will tread the holy city underfoot for FORTY-TWO MONTHS.’” (Revelation 11:1–2).

As you read through the book of Revelation, you’ll see that this period of three and one-half years precedes the return of Christ. As we’ve pointed out on previous programs, two prophets of God will witness with great power during that same period of three and one-half years. You can read about that in verses 3 through 14 of Revelation 11. God Almighty states in verse 3, “And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” (Revelation 11:3). For three and one-half years, these two witnesses will contend with the Gentile force which will dominate the Middle East at that time. This will be a time of great tribulation for the whole world, especially for those who are true Christians. Billions will be killed. Many who accept Christ during that time will be persecuted terribly, even martyred. But you can escape that time, if you respond to God’s calling. Prophetic Sign Number 4: Watch For Animal Sacrifices By The Jews In Jerusalem

In this program, we have so far seen three prophetic signs for the Middle East. Prophetic Sign number one: WATCH FOR MILITARY ALLIANCES FORMING EAST OF THE EUPHRATES RIVER. Prophetic Sign number two: WATCH FOR GROWING UNITY AMONG ISRAEL’S TRADITIONAL ENEMIES. Prophetic Sign number three: WATCH FOR INTERNATIONAL ATTEMPTS TO CONTROL JERUSALEM.

Prophetic Sign number four is: WATCH FOR ANIMAL SACRIFICES BY THE JEWS IN JERUSALEM. Remember, the key sign that introduces these prophetic milestones is the Abomination of Desolation. What is this abomination? Jesus told us to be alert to this key prophetic sign, which will take place in the Middle East. He said in MATTHEW 24:15,

“Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” (Matthew 24:15–16).

Turn in your Bible to DANIEL the 11th chapter. Historically, the Greek ruler Antiochus Epiphanes issued a decree in 167 BC that prohibited further sacrifices in the Jerusalem Temple. DANIEL 11:31,

“And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall TAKE AWAY the daily sacrifices, and place there the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION.”

In addition to stopping the daily sacrifices, Antiochus erected a statue of Jupiter Olympus in the temple and directed everyone to worship it. This abomination, also referred to in chapter 8 of Daniel, is a type of a similar END-TIME event. Notice also, that the END-TIME sacrifices are cut off 1,290 days before the return of Christ. DANIEL 12:11,

“And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

Jesus warns us Christians to be alert to an END-TIME abomination of desolation. Just as Antiochus Epiphanes profaned the Temple in 167 BC and cut off the sacrifices, so will a profane authority cut off Jewish sacrifices in the FUTURE. In fact, the Apostle Paul warns of a great false prophet who will stand in the holy place. Let’s read that in 2 THESSALONIANS. In 2 THESSALONIANS 2:3, the Apostle Paul writes,

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4).

Yes, a great false prophet will work great miracles and deceive millions of people. He will cultivate worship toward himself and claim he’s divine. Revelation 13:13–14 shows that this great false prophet will even call down fire from heaven, and will deceive millions of people around the world! Again, my friends, don’t YOU be deceived by these signs and wonders! As it tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:21,

“Test all things; hold fast what is good.”

As we’ve seen, this end-time false prophet will cause the sacrifices to cease! Let’s realize that the Jews have not offered animal sacrifices since 70 AD when the Romans destroyed the Second Temple in Jerusalem. In order for the end-time sacrifices to be STOPPED eventually, they need to BEGIN! Listen, when animal sacrifices begin once again in Jerusalem, YOU WILL KNOW that the prophecies Jesus spoke about are heading for a grand-smash climax!

Some believe that the Temple must first be rebuilt in order to conduct animal sacrifices. Many Jews believe that only the Messiah will be able to rebuild the Temple. However, some Jewish groups are hoping to see today's Jewish people take the initiative themselves. They believe that there can be no peace in the Middle East until the Temple is rebuilt. Rabbi Chaim Richman, international director of the Temple Institute, has said,

“It’s time to vote with our feet and send a clear message to the world that we truly believe that the Temple Mount is ours and we truly hope and pray for a time of unparalleled world peace and harmony with the rebuilding of the Third Temple” (“Temple Institute Encourages Jews To Hope for Third Temple In New Video,” Jerusalem Post,August 7, 2019).

Yes, my friends, we need to understand one important point. An altar is needed for sacrifices, not necessarily a full temple building. Just read the third chapter of Ezra. The returning exiles from Babylon had only a holy place, not a temple. Ezra refers to the location of the holy place, as the HOUSE OF GOD, when the temple had NOT YET been built. EZRA 3:8,

“Now in the second month of the second year of their coming to the HOUSE OF GOD at Jerusalem….”

This was around 536 BC. But there was no building as yet. The returning Jewish exiles referred to the Holy Place as “the House of God,” even though no temple existed. The holiest place under the control of the Jewish religious authorities today, is the Western Wall, or the Wailing Wall. It is the western retaining wall to the Temple Mount. Jews are not allowed to publicly worship on the Temple Mount, only Muslims. So, it remains to be seen where and when the Jews will begin sacrificing. It will probably take an unprecedented national crisis to precipitate that event. Prophetic Sign number four is: WATCH FOR ANIMAL SACRIFICES BY THE JEWS IN JERUSALEM.

Our fifth prophetic sign comes from the prophet Daniel, who foretold that a King of the South will push against a king of the north shortly before Jesus Christ returns. Prophetic Sign Number 5: Watch For A European Superpower Turning Against Israel

We have so far examined four prophetic signs for the Middle East. Prophetic Sign number one was: WATCH FOR MILITARY ALLIANCES FORMING EAST OF THE EUPHRATES RIVER. Prophetic Sign number two: WATCH FOR GROWING UNITY AMONG ISRAEL’S TRADITIONAL ENEMIES. Prophetic Sign number three: WATCH FOR INTERNATIONAL ATTEMPTS TO CONTROL JERUSALEM. Prophetic Sign number four was: Watch for animal sacrifices by the Jews in Jerusalem. Prophetic Sign number five is: WATCH FOR A EUROPEAN SUPERPOWER TURNING AGAINST ISRAEL.

The European Union is headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. It is developing as a political, economic, and military entity, just like the King of the North prophesied in your Bible. Will it become that prophesied superpower? Already an economic peer of the United States, the EU is beginning to assert itself as a military force independent of the U.S, The administration of American President Donald Trump has expressed the hope that the EU will take on more of its own military spending that since World War II has been subsidized heavily by the U.S. Reuters news agency reported the comments of Richard Grenell, U.S. Ambassador to Germany, who said, quote,

“It is offensive to assume that the U.S. taxpayers continue to pay for more than 50,000 Americans in Germany but the Germans get to spend their [budget] surplus on domestic programs” (“Germany must up defense spending, relying on U.S. ‘offensive’ - U.S. envoy,” August 9, 2019).

My friends, we need to watch the military resurgence of Germany, along with the other prophetic signs. As we near the Great Tribulation, your Bible instructs us to watch key developments surrounding Jerusalem. LUKE 21:19:

“By your patience possess your souls. But when you see JERUSALEM SURROUNDED BY ARMIES, then know that its desolation is near.” (Luke 21:19–20).

Revelation 11:2 tells us that Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles for forty-two months, about 3 and one-half years. At the end of that time, during the Day of the Lord, the armies of Europe and Asia will combine to bring about the great climax of World War III, referred to as “Armageddon.”

Yes, we need to watch for developments leading to an invasion of the Middle East from the powerful military King of the North. You can read that prophecy in Daniel 11:40–41. My friends, we are in the prophetic time period known as the end-time. We need to be spiritually awake and watchful. We need to be prepared for the Second Coming. Christ will be King over all the earth, ruling from the new world capital, Jerusalem. Notice that in ZECHARIAH 14:8:

“And in that day it shall be that living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and half of them toward the western sea; in both summer and winter it shall occur. And the LORD shall be King over all the earth.” (Zechariah 14:8–9).

The Fate of All Mankind—And Beyond

We grieve and mourn when a close family member dies, especially if the death is sudden and unexpected. Is there any hope for your loved ones after they die? Yes, there is. We experience the pain of loss when a loved one [one of a loved one when he] dies. Sometimes, because of old age it’s expected. But it’s really shocking when it happens suddenly. A teenager’s life is suddenly cut short in an auto accident the night of High School prom and the dreams of a wonderful future are cut terribly short. Men and women have given their lives in military service for their country and died before age 30. Historic genocides and holocausts have taken millions of men, women, and children in Europe, Africa, and other parts of the world. Is there any hope for their future? Or is all hope lost?

My friends, your Bible reveals amazing hope for billions who have died over the past six thousand years. Let’s look at one prophecy that gives us that elusive hope. Your Bible predicts a massive resurrection to physical life in the future. The prophet Ezekiel was given vision of those who lost hope and died. Turn in your Bible to Ezekiel 37. Here the nation of Israel is viewed as lost souls. This is the famous valley of dry bones. Notice the hopeless attitude of these who died. God says to the prophet Ezekiel in verse 11:

“Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’”

Does God give hope to the hopeless? He states in verse 12,

“Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord’” (Ezekiel 37:11–14).

My friends, your Bible gives hope for the deceased, more than you can imagine. But what happens the moment you die? Do you go to heaven or hell or purgatory? The pollster George Barna once found, as far back as 2003, that Eastern religious concepts were gaining popularity in the United States. At that time, 18 percent of those surveyed told Barna that they believed in some kind of reincarnation. Some believed that the soul may come back as a human being, or maybe as an animal, depending on our own conduct during this life, and that we will only end the cycle of reincarnation when by our own strenuous efforts we achieve perfection.

My friends, let’s understand. Most of the world will face its Day of Salvation in the White Throne Judgment. You need to understand the meaning of the White Throne Judgment. Revelation 20:12,

“And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, [they are resurrected from the dead] and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”

This awesome judgment period will give billions of spiritually deceived and blinded individuals their first genuine opportunity for salvation. The free booklet we’re offering today explains this glorious phase of God’s master plan for all humanity.

While billions will be judged in the White Throne Judgement period, today’s true Christians are under judgment now. The Apostle Peter states this in 1 Peter 4:17,

“For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now, ‘If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?’ Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator” (1 Peter 4:17–19).

This life-long process of Christian judgment is just that, a PROCESS, not a final decision. As the Apostle Peter exhorted all of us,

“…but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18).

The Christian life is one of growing in godly character, learning to live the way of life Christ teaches us. As He stated in Luke 4:4, It is written,

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”

My friends, Christ came that we might learn to live by true biblical values, the Ten Commandments, and their spiritual application. This leads to the abundant life Jesus promised in John 10:10!

The Resurrections Explained

In the first part of our program, we saw that there is hope beyond death, even for those who were blinded to the truth, such as Israel of the first century. The prophet Ezekiel envisioned the time when the valley of dry bones will come to life. God told Ezekiel, Prophesy to these bones, and say to them,

“O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: ‘Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord’” (Ezekiel 37:4–6).

This great resurrection to physical life will take place in the White Throne Judgment revealed in Revelation 20:11–14. Let’s understand. Your Bible reveals three general resurrections from the dead, of thousands, millions, and billions of people. But the first resurrection is described in your Bible primarily in two chapters: 1 Corinthians 15 and 1 Thessalonians 4. Who will be in the first resurrection? Those who are faithful Christians. The Apostle John describes their future:

“And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years....This is the first resurrection.”

That’s in Revelation 20:4–5.

The FIRST RESURRECTION from the dead is to IMMORTAL LIFE. This is the resurrection that takes place when Christ returns. God will give faithful Christians the awesome gift of eternal, immortal life at that time.

Faithful saints and Christians who died are WAITING IN THEIR GRAVES for the First Resurrection. But, what will happen to the billions of humans who have died but never accepted Christianity? Are they burning in hell right now? No! Your Bible teaches that everyone who has died, with the exception of Jesus Christ, is still dead. Those people who never had their minds opened to true Christianity will be in the White Throne Judgment! They will be in the SECOND RESURRECTION.

This is a resurrection to a lifetime of judgment, and it’s a resurrection to physical life. When will the Second Resurrection take place? Revelation 19 describes the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. He will not be alone when He comes back to this earth. REVELATION 20:4,

“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”

Then we read a parenthetical statement:

“But the rest of the dead [listen to this] did not live again until the thousand years were finished” (Revelation 20:5).

If they did not live again for a thousand years, they remained dead all that time! Who are the “rest of the dead”? People still in their graves who are not in the First Resurrection. And WHEN does this Second Resurrection take place? When the thousand years are finished, as we read in Revelation 20:5.

Now turn to REVELATION 20:11:

“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the DEAD, small and great, STANDING before God [This is the SECOND resurrection, a resurrection to physical life, NOT immortal life], and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books” (Revelation 20:11–12).

The Greek word for “books” is “biblia.” The good news is, that the books, or the Bible, will be opened to the understanding of the masses for the first time. The Book of Life is finally opened to those resurrected in the White Throne Judgment, as we see in Revelation 20:12. This will be their FIRST opportunity to properly learn the truth. This is NOT a SECOND chance as some may like to call it. All human beings will be held accountable for their actions and thoughts. But this will be their first time for many to SEE their sins. They’ll have the opportunity to REPENT of their sins, and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

In the White Throne Judgment, billions of humans will be resurrected to physical life, for the first time. They will have their minds opened to the Bible and the awesome reality of God’s truth. Final Judgment NOT Happening Right Now

On today’s program, we’ve seen that there is wonderful hope for the dead. The faithful saints are waiting in their graves for the return of Jesus Christ and the first resurrection. The FIRST RESURRECTION from the dead is to IMMORTAL LIFE. The SECOND RESURRECTION is the Resurrection to physical life in the White Throne Judgment.

The White Throne Judgment is the hope of billions of people who have been blinded to the truth of salvation. They never had a genuine opportunity for salvation. We expect that the vast majority will repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and His shed blood for the forgiveness of their sins.

God is a God of mercy, but He is also a God of justice. Sadly, some individuals will reject God’s grace and salvation. The incorrigibly evil will REFUSE to repent of their sins and refuse to accept the sacrifice of Christ. But God will not allow human beings to suffer for all eternity in a state of bitterness, hate, and rebellion. He will destroy them in the lake of fire. Notice this sobering statement in REVELATION 21:7,

“He who overcomes shall inherit ALL THINGS, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 21:7–8).

The THIRD RESURRECTION is to eternal punishment and destruction in the lake of fire. This is the second death as we just read in Revelation 21:8. This is the second death, from which there is no resurrection! God is just. He states in HEBREWS 10:30,

“‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord…. The wicked will be tormented as they stand before the lake of fire. Then all the wicked will be cast into the lake of fire and burned up.”

They will die forever. As it states in ROMANS 6:23,

“For the wages of sin is death [eternal death], but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

God has an awesome plan for all humanity. His plan is sure and wonderful. [SLOW] Everyone, including today’s non-Christians, will have a GENUINE OPPORTUNITY after the millennium in the White Throne Judgment, to respond to the true gospel, to surrender to their Savior, Jesus Christ, and to be a part of God’s family for all eternity. On today’s program, we’ve seen that the very HOPE of a Christian is the promised RESURRECTION from the dead! In ACTS 23, the Apostle Paul was confronted by the Jerusalem Sanhedrin. What did he say? ACTS 23:6,

“Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee; concerning the HOPE and RESURRECTION of the dead I am BEING judged!”

Paul was BEING judged. He did not YET have immortal life! Let’s understand. We do NOT already have immortality! It is a gift from God! Read ROMANS 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) Notice that the scripture does NOT state, “The wages of sin is immortal life in hell-fire.” The wages of sin is NOT immortal LIFE, but DEATH, the absence of life. If you already have an immortal soul, if you already have eternal life, you don’t need it as a GIFT from God. My friends, a soul can DIE! The prophet EZEKIEL tells us in EZEKIEL 18:4,

“The SOUL WHO SINS SHALL DIE.[!]”

The Hebrew word for Soul is “Nephesh,” which means physical or natural life. And the same word “nephesh” also refers to ANIMAL LIFE in Genesis 1:21.

Now, what does the New Testament tell us about souls? Turn in your Bible to MATTHEW 10:28,

“And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both SOUL and body in hell. (or Gehenna fire)”

Do you believe your Bible? Do you believe what Jesus said? God is ABLE to DESTROY—yes, DESTROY—both soul and body in Gehenna. Now, the Bible does teach that there is a human spirit, the spirit in man mentioned in 1 Corinthians 2:11, for example. But the human spirit is NOT an immortal soul. There are many other scriptures to demonstrate that one does NOT have an immortal soul. As God inspired the prophet Ezekiel to state,

“The SOUL WHO SINS SHALL DIE” (Ezekiel 18:4).

Our sin has earned us, you and me, the death penalty. But God sent His Son to pay that penalty for us. But what happens to the incorrigibly wicked? Doesn’t the Bible teach there is a real hellfire for them? Certainly, God WILL judge the evil ones who seal their character to live in rebellion against His loving way of life. As the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 12:19,

“Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord.”

The punishment for the incorrigibly wicked begins with the Third Resurrection, as we saw earlier. You do not want THAT resurrection! What Will Your Resurrection Be Like?

As we’ve seen on today’s program, NO ONE is now suffering in a mythical, ever-burning hellfire. Everyone who has ever lived and died is still dead. They are totally unconscious and feel no passing of time. All who are dead will be resurrected to one of the three resurrections. My friends, as we’ve seen, the first resurrection takes place at Christ’s Second Coming. That hasn’t happened yet! Will you be in that resurrection? If you GENUINELY belong to Jesus Christ at that time, you will be in the FIRST RESURRECTION. It is called a “better resurrection” in Hebrews 11:35. WHY? Because it’s a resurrection to ETERNAL LIFE and IMMORTALITY.

The FIRST RESURRECTION from the dead is a transformation to glory, immortality, and eternal life. It’s the time when the saints, faithful Christians, will inherit the earth, and rule with Christ on this earth for a thousand years as kings and priests, as it tells us in Revelation 5:10. Those who are in the first resurrection will become the Bride of Christ. The parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25 warns us all to be ready for Christ’s return and the marriage of the Lamb. Revelation 19:7 shows that the true Church of God, the wife of Christ indeed has been faithful in her preparation for the coming Kingdom of God. Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.

My friends, will you be in the first resurrection, the better resurrection to eternal life? Your Father in heaven loves you and wants you to be a part of His Family. And He plans for billions of other spiritually blinded human beings to learn His way in the White Throne Judgment. That may include friends or relatives you thought may have been lost. You need to study the wonderful plan God has for all human beings. All deceased human beings who have ever lived are still asleep in their graves as it tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:12–15. The good news is that no one is suffering as an immortal soul, as we demonstrated earlier in the program. And the good news is that Jesus Christ will return to this earth as King of kings and Lord of lords. The dead in Christ will be resurrected to glory and immortality. May you now take steps to be in that resurrection!

A Pattern of Prophetic Events

If you are a frequent watcher of television movies, you may have often noticed how doomsday movies appear on your screen. Modern filmmaking produces dramatic, realistic disaster movies. The 2018 Jurassic Park sequel, Fallen Kingdom, featured a dangerous volcano. The 2017 movie Geostorm saw its heroes fighting worldwide climate disruption.

Such movies warn us of cosmocide and the end of the world: Perhaps you’ve seen those or others, such as: Pandemic, The Day After Tomorrow, Deep Impact, Asteroid, Andreas, or Armageddon.

Are any of these disaster films portraying a real future? We don’t need to look too far into the past to see the reality of devastating disasters. In the summer of 2018, record fires ravaged thousands of square miles in California, destroying the city of Paradise with a population of 27,000. Fires spread at the speed of 50 miles per hour, killing scores who had no chance of escape. And who can forget the record-destroying “Boxing Day tsunami” in South Asia that killed more than 225,000 in December 2004? The 9-11 terrorist attacks on the Pentagon in Washington, DC and the World Trade Center in New York City still, to this day, symbolize global terrorism.

Will the earth survive at all? Your Bible reveals specific events leading to the end of this age. We are living in the end of the age of man’s grand experiment of governing himself. Can the 193 member states of the United Nations ever find the way to world peace? My friends, world history should give you the answer! World War II, less than 80 years ago, first introduced us to the danger of nuclear cosmocide. Nuclear, biological, and chemical threats continue to this day!

Have you considered the prospect of ultimate doomsday for planet Earth? What does your Bible predict? Matthew 24:21–22, “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the [a]elect’s sake those days will be shortened.”

WHO will shorten those days to save us? Your Bible reveals that the Messiah, the Savior of the World, will return to this earth to prevent total cosmocide. Your Bible also predicts the awesome good news of a new world government under the King of kings, Jesus Christ. Yes, the greatest event in modern history may happen in YOUR LIFETIME, the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, to establish real world peace among all nations and to bring about prosperity for all peoples.

Nuclear Warfare and Natural Catastrophes are Only the Beginning

Warm greetings to all our friends around the world.

My friends, I’m sure you’ve heard of Jesus Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords, but He is also called the “Prince of peace.” That’s in Isaiah 9:6. Our world desperately needs the peace only Christ can bring. Will you be ready to meet Him when He comes? And how will you know WHEN He is coming? What are the prophetic signs you need to know? How will you know WHEN Christ will return? Let’s consider seven signs of the Second Coming. SIGN NUMBER ONE: Increasing danger of nuclear war. The combined power of mankind’s nuclear weapons could destroy all human life on earth several times over. On page 5 of the Armageddon booklet This chart shows the estimated number of nuclear warheads nine nations possess. They are Russia, the United States, France, China, the United Kingdom, Israel, India, Pakistan, and North Korea. According to the Arms Control Association, as of June 2018, the U.S. had 6,550 nuclear warheads and Russia had 6,850.

And now both countries are determined to increase, not decrease, their nuclear development! According to an NPR report dated February 2, 2019, “The Trump administration said Friday that the U.S. will formally begin the process of withdrawing from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty the Cold War arms control accord with Russia — a move that prompted Russia to announce its own withdrawal on Saturday” (“U.S., And Now Russia, Announce Plans To Withdraw From Nuclear Arms Control Treaty.” Sasha Ingber, NPR, February 1, 2019).

Here’s how the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists described the present danger “The current situation—in which intersecting nuclear, climate, and information warfare threats all go insufficiently recognized and addressed, when they are not simply ignored or denied—is unsustainable. The longer world leaders and citizens carelessly inhabit this new and abnormal reality, the more likely the world is to experience catastrophe of historic proportions” (“A new abnormal: It is still 2 minutes to midnight.” John Mecklin ed., Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, January 24, 2019).

The Book of Revelation in your Bible ALSO warns of a coming global catastrophe of historic proportions. Revelation 9 describes a huge army moving west across the Euphrates River with great military power. Revelation 9:16, “Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths.”

Yes, as shocking as it may seem, one-third of mankind will die in a future world war! My friends, watch for development of nuclear capabilities on the world scene. SIGN NUMBER ONE for the Second Coming: Increasing danger of nuclear war.

SIGN NUMBER TWO you need to watch for: Earthquakes and Other Natural Disasters. In April of 2016, the nation of Ecuador suffered a 7.8 magnitude quake killing at least 400 people. The previous week, Japan was struck by an earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale. The Daily Express reported the following headline: “Fears of ‘THE BIG ONE’ as SEVEN major earthquakes strike Pacific region in just 96 hours.” The article reported “SCIENTISTS fear a monster earthquake could be about to strike after seven earthquakes in just 96 hours struck the Pacific region, killing hundreds of people” (“Fears of ‘THE BIG ONE’ as SEVEN major earthquakes strike Pacific region in just 96 hours.” Jon Austin, Daily Express, April 20, 2016).

My friends, are you prepared for disasters? Have you stored enough drinking water to last a week if your water source is cut off? Jesus Himself predicted end-time earthquakes: “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:7–8). Remember the rider of the BLACK HORSE REPRESENTS famines that normally follow on the heels of war.

The book of Revelation reveals an even greater earthquake yet to come: “And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth” (Revelation 16:18). New World Powers, Religious Revival, and Blasphemous Deceptions

We’ve briefly discussed two signs announcing the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, to rule all nations on earth. What signs should you be watching for?

SIGN NUMBER ONE: Increasing danger of nuclear war. SIGN NUMBER TWO: Earthquakes and Other Natural Disasters. PROPHETIC SIGN NUMBER THREE is: An Ascendant European Union Seeks Global Primacy. Today, Europe is challenged by a massive refugee influx, religious violence, economic crises, and Great Britain’s uncertain status. To recapture the prophesied power and grandeur of the ancient Roman Empire, Europe will need a strong and charismatic leader.

This future power is described as a symbolic beast with seven heads and ten horns. God reveals its meaning in Revelation 17:12: “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.” Ten kings or kingdoms will support this charismatic leader producing a powerful unified force.

But notice! There is also another world figure, also described as a beast, but THIS beast symbolically has two horns like a lamb. Let’s read that in Revelation 13:11, “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. [Listen to this] He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast.”

Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God. By contrast, this religious imposter will APPEAR Christian, yet speak like a dragon. He will deceive billions with false miracles and signs. My friends, you need to watch for a respected religious figure who will influence the political and military superpower. PROPHETIC SIGN NUMBER FOUR is: A Powerful Religious Figure Leads a Religious Revival. My friends, WILL YOU be deceived by a miracle working religious figure? His miracle working deceptions will cause billions to follow him and his false religion. Notice 2 Thessalonians 2:9, “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders….” Yes, the false prophet will even call down fire from heaven as we saw in Revelation 13:13.

The Apostle Paul explains that this false prophet is a servant NOT of God, but of Satan. But notice that God will judge his lawlessness. at the coming of the King of kings, Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:8: “And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.”

My friends, you need to watch religious trends in Europe, where a great religious revival will persuade most people to practice a false and lawless religion. PROPHETIC SIGN NUMBER FOUR: A Powerful Religious Figure Leads a Religious Revival. This in turn will lead to PROPHETIC SIGN NUMBER FIVE: The Abomination of Desolation.

Jesus gave us this vital warning sign. In Matthew 24:15, He stated: “‘Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.’” If you’ve read the books of Daniel and Matthew in your Bible, you may have been puzzled by the mysterious “abomination of desolation.” What is it, and what will it mean in end-time prophecy?

Clearly, this is an important sign to understand. It signals the time when God’s people are to flee, to escape the final three-and-a-half-year sequence of devastating end-time prophetic calamities.

Historically, the Greek ruler Antiochus Epiphanes issued a decree in 167BC that prohibited the Jews from making sacrifices in the Temple. Turn to DANIEL 11, verse 31: “And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation.” Historically, not only did Antiochus stop the daily sacrifices; he erected in the temple a statue of Jupiter Olympus, and directed everyone to worship it.

This event, also described in Daniel 8, PRE-figures a prophesied end-time milestone. DANIEL 12, verse 11: “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.”

Yes, my friends, 1,290 days before Jesus Christ’s second coming, animal sacrifices will again be stopped! Jesus warns us as Christians to be alert to an end-time abomination of desolation! Just as Antiochus Epiphanes profaned the Temple in 167 BC and cut off the sacrifices, so will a profane authority cut off Jewish sacrifices in the future! My friends, watch for developments in Israel that will lead to the restoration of animal sacrifices by religious Jews. The True Gospel Restored, Heavenly Wonders, and the Day of the Lord’s Wrath

The greatest event in modern history is coming soon, the Second Coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ to save the world from total destruction. You need to know the signs of His coming. Many of you, who watch world news and study Bible prophecy, know that a future disturbance in the heavens will shock everyone on earth. This leads us to PROPHETIC SIGN NUMBER SEVEN: Heavenly Signs and the Day of the Lord. Mankind loves to look to space, and some of what we see is astounding. Do you remember the “Super Blood Wolf Moon” of January 2019? Every few years, lunar eclipses project vivid color on the usually gray moon. After one of those eclipses NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration described the color as “sunset-red” or, as the eclipse progressed, “filling it with a coppery glow and transforming the Moon into a great red orb” (“A Tetrad of Lunar Eclipses.” Tony Phillips, NASA, March 27, 2014).

These lunar eclipses may remind us of a prophesied future cosmic disturbance, described in Revelation 6:12. Some Bibles label this section: “Sixth Seal: Cosmic Disturbances.” Revelation 6:12, “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.” Continue reading in Revelation 6:13, “And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! [LISTEN TO THIS] For the GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH has come, and who is able to stand?”

Notice, my friends, that these cosmic disturbances introduce the Day of the Lord, the “great day of His [Christ’s] wrath.” God is warning us in advance of future judgments. The moon will be turned to blood in color and the sun will become black and dark. Additionally, thousands of meteors will light up the sky.

The Return of Jesus Christ: Mankind’s Only Hope

On today’s program, we’ve discussed seven vital signs warning of the Great Tribulation and the Day of the Lord leading up to the glorious Second Coming of the Messiah Jesus Christ. How can you escape the judgment of those days?
