Germany Is Repeating History (Nobody Can Stop Them)

Whiteboard: Germany Is Repeating History (Nobody Can Stop Them)

Germany is rearming fast—inevitably. Bible prophecy warns this will reshape Europe and lead to World War 3. See why history is repeating—right on schedule.

Germany Is Making Headlines—as Prophesied

On a recent Joe Rogan podcast, guest Sam Tripoli gave us a shout-out for the prophecies we’ve explained about Germany’s role in the end-time.

“You can go to the Living Church of God, it’s YouTube @TomorrowsWorld. It’s all been prophesied” (Sam Tripoli, Joe Rogan Experience #2366, August 15, 2025).

Rogan’s response:

“If it turns out to be true, I’ll bring you back” (Joe Rogan, Joe Rogan Experience #2366, August 15, 2025).

Well, here’s the reality. Bible prophecy reveals that Germany will rise to unprecedented power, leading Europe and the world down a very dark path.

Chastened by the shame of its Nazi past, Germany has for decades shied away from asserting itself militarily.

But faced with a struggling Europe challenged by a strong and ambitious Russia to its east, the pressure is on to shed their concerns, inevitably bending in the direction of Bible prophecy, as we’ll see in this video.

In 2022, the previous German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced an additional $113 billion (£84 billion) for the German army.

And as described by a BBC article:

Within a few days Vladimir Putin has managed to do what Nato allies have spent years trying to achieve: a massive increase of military spending in Germany (“Ukraine conflict: Putin’s war prompts dramatic German U-turn,” BBC,February 27, 2022).

The current Chancellor, Friedrich Merz, has also recently committed to rearmament.

As a Time Magazine article reported: “Merz will push to increase troop levels from the current 182,000 active-duty soldiers to as many as 240,000 by 2031 (most likely by reintroducing the draft). Germany will also replace aging aircraft, tanks, and ships. The rest will go toward defense-related infrastructure… [Going on to say that] Germany will be a different kind of military player within a few years (“The Meaning of Germany’s Dramatic Rearmament,” Time Magazine, May 24, 2025).

And listen also to these recent headlines:

This shift of rearmament should not be ignored because the Bible prophesied the rise of Germany in the end-time. This is why they’ll repeat history, and no one will be able to stop them. But how is this so?

Well, first, let’s review Germany’s history of nationalism.

German Unification in World War 1

Throughout history, the Germans have been unified at certain times and divided at others.

The time leading up to World War I was a time of unification for Germany, which was fueled by nationalism (that is, supporting their own interests, especially to the detriment of other nations).

Otto Von Bismarck (1815–1898) was the German statesman in the time leading up to World War I. He helped unite the 25 states of the German Empire from large kingdoms down to small city-states. While these states had been separate, they were ethnically all German.

This fevered nationalist sentiment was accompanied with industrial growth. Together these fueled the rapid expansion of Germany’s military through increased defense spending, and the development of advanced weaponry.

Germany’s strongest ally in the war was the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Together these nations represented much of the world’s ethnically German population.

Brutal efforts were taken to win this war, including German use of the first chemical weapons.

The results of World WarI? Some estimates put it at 40 million casualties

Fast forwarding to 1919, after World War I, we come to the Treaty of Versailles, which placed several restrictions on Germany. Intending to prevent them from repeating their actions, these restrictions included reduction of territory, demilitarization and reparations to other countries.

While World War I was called “the war to end all wars,” it sadly did not live up to that name.

Fast forward now to 1933, and we see the restrictions on Germany being used to refuel its fevered nationalism. In that same year, the Nazi party came to power under the leadership of Adolf Hitler. In 1934, Hitler installed himself as a dictator.

  • He passed laws banning political parties and removing opposition.
  • Hitler used the economic instability of the time to instill fear into the population.
  • The Nazi party used propaganda to push its ideology onto the population.

Because of this, the idea spread that Germany’s national issues were due to non-Germans living in the country. This fueled waves of antisemitism and attacks on other groups. The hatred would culminate with the holocaust, which accounted for 11 million deaths, including 6 million Jews and 5 million others.

Hitler began seizing land from surrounding countries in efforts to bring together ethnically German peoples. Europe appeased Hitler until Germany’s invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, marking the beginning of World War II.

Stifling German Military After World War 2

There were between 70 to 85 million deaths as a result of World War II.

Germany’s brutality in war was on display once again, this time with concentration camps designed for extermination and other tools of mass execution.

Now let’s fast forward to the surrender of Germany during World War II.

On May 8, 1945, Germany formally surrendered by signing an agreement of unconditional surrender.

The August 1945 Potsdam Agreement set out Germany’s demilitarisation, reparations, and divided both Germany and Berlin into four Allied zones—three Western sectors run jointly by the United States, the United Kingdom, and France; and one Soviet sector.

All these measures were again meant to stifle German nationalism and prevent a potential third world war.

Then in 1961, East Germany (backed by the USSR) sealed that sector line with the Berlin Wall, which encircled the three Western sectors—collectively “West Berlin”—and cut them off from Soviet-controlled East Berlin. Over the decades German nationalist sentiment and economic frustrations grew. Finally, on November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall fell, reuniting Germany.

While the world was surprised by this historic event, in reality this had to happen. Germany had to reunify in order for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled, and here’s why: Germany plays a vital role in end-time prophecy.

Many Bible scholars recognize that modern Germany descended from ancient Assyria.

Now, we may make a future video about this, but if you want to know more about the ties between Assyria and Germany, you can click the link. But for the sake of this video, here are a couple poignant comments from scholars highlighting their similarities. The Assyrians were noted for being:

...especially fond of war, which they waged against their enemies with fierceness and cruelty (Roscoe Lewis Ashley, Early European Civilization, 1921, pp. 44–45).

And for deporting their conquered peoples by the tens of thousands (ibid.)—a characteristic hard to ignore when considering the history of World War II.

And the military historian Simon Anglim wrote:

While historians tend to shy away from analogies, it is tempting to see the Assyrian Empire, which dominated the Middle East from 900-612 BC, as a historical forebear of Nazi Germany: an aggressive, murderously vindictive regime supported by a magnificent and successful war machine (Anglim, S. Fighting Techniques of the Ancient World, 2013).

Think Nazi lampshades made of human skin and Revelation 18:13, where, speaking of the end-time Beast, they will trade the “bodies and souls of men.”

Prophecies About Germany (Assyria) in the Last Days

So to better understand Germany’s role in end-time prophecy, we need to know what the Bible says about Assyria in the end-time.

Assyria is prophesied to be a mighty force to contend with in the last days, right before Jesus Christ’s return. And it will be a nation that God uses to punish the descendants of ancient Israel And it’s important to note that the Jews were only one tribe of ancient Israel.

A Yoke of Iron (Deuteronomy 28:47-48)

Now, Moses recorded a sobering prophecy for the house of Israel, a prophecy that was first fulfilled in 721 BC.

Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you (Deuteronomy 28:47–48).

God describes the source of this “yoke of iron” as an invading force that is ruthless, powerful, and utterly overwhelming.

A Fierce Nation (Deuteronomy 48:49-50)

The Lord will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young (Deuteronomy 48:49–50).

The Rod of God’s Anger (Isaiah 10)

Assyria was that nation, the corrective rod of God’s anger in 721 bc. And God will also use Assyria in this way in the future. He promises that He will bring a “day of punishment” for those nations rebelling against Him, with “desolation which will come from afar” (Isaiah 10:3). And He identifies the nation He’ll use to inflict this punishment.

“Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger and the staff in whose hand is My indignation. I will send him against an ungodly nation” (Isaiah 10:5–6).

Assyria was prophesied anciently to devastate certain nations, including ancient Israel, and it’s prophesied to happen again through the modern descendants of Assyria—the Germans. With that understanding, these headlines raise reason for alarm:

And where will they lead Europe? The Bible tells us they will lead right into World War III.

Just as Assyria and Israel clashed in the ancient past, Germany had in two 20th-century wars faced off against the descendants of the northern tribes of Israel: America, Britain, and the Allied Nations, not to mention the Jews of the tribe of Judah.

Yet amazingly, in only a handful of years after their greatest clash, the ancient foes had become powerful allies, seeking together to maintain peace in the Western world through diplomacy and trade. And the German nation, after centuries of seeking to reforge the world through what Bismarck called a path of “blood and iron,” has come to be known for seeking peaceful diplomacy and resisting calls to conflict.

Yet only within the last couple years, as had to happen, this has dramatically changed.

German soldiers have marched out of Germany and across Europe numerous times in history.

Germany’s return to power in the years since World War II is no accident. God prophesied more than 2,500 years ago that He would bring certain events to pass to accomplish His purpose, and when He purposes it, He will do it.

“My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure” (Isaiah 46:10).

Germany Will Become the Beast Power | Revelation 17

And Germany is once again the dominating force in an effort to unite the nations of Europe. Events now underway in Europe will lead to the long-prophesied ten-nation beast power that will again rise out of the ashes of the Roman Empire, as Revelation 17:8-14 explains.

The Bible demonstrates that Assyria will use religion to help forge a unified European power, much as was done under Charlemagne. This emerging configuration will become a global economic power and will use that power for political purposes. It will appear peaceful at first but will transform into a devouring, war-making beast.

Daniel describes this end-time kingdom as a strong and ferocious beast with “iron teeth,” which Christ will conquer and punish at His return. And the nation that leads all of this will be Germany!

God’s Plan: This Must Happen Before Jesus Returns

Recall the “woe to Assyria” passage from Isaiah 10:5.

God reveals that Assyria will ravage the modern Israelite-descended nations. He will even allow modern Assyria to take our entire planet to the brink of nuclear Armageddon (Revelation 16:16).

But then Jesus Christ will return to the Mount of Olives, fight against rebellious mankind, and gain control of planet Earth (Zechariah 14:3).

And He’ll humble the nations that fought against Him as He prepares the world for His prophesied reign. And during His reign He’ll bring peace to the earth and pronounce a blessing on Assyria. Isaiah 19:25 says:

“Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

God loves all people, and as with all people, including Germany, He will not cast them aside, but has a magnificent plan for them in the Millennium.
