It has become apparent from the news networks that there is confusion and disagreement about where United States and British policy is leading in Iraq, Iran, North Korea and other world trouble spots.
It seems to be the blind leading the blind, with no one in government, politics or the media sure of what to do or what will happen next. Their "crystal ball" seems to contain dark and muddy water. Now that the world is becoming armed with horrible doomsday weapons, we need more than ever to be blessed with vision.
I have a Reader's Digest magazine dated November, 1941, just one month before the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the start of World War II for the United States. Articles in that issue are by prominent journalists, a Democrat senator, a Republican former presidential candidate, and others. They make clear with their wrong-headed opinions that there was no way Japan could win a war with America, therefore Japan would not attack; the U.S. army should be smaller rather than larger; the armed forces were not properly supplied or prepared to go to war; and morale was terrible among American troops. In other words, a war with Germany, Italy and Japan was out of the question. Boy, were they wrong!
Our modern pundits and politicians are just as wrong today. Without understanding the keys to unlocking Bible prophecy, they grope like blind men – trying to make sense of today's world news.
Did you know that approximately one fourth of the books found in the Bible are dedicated to prophecy, and most of those prophecies are for a narrow sliver of time, which we are in right now? Prophecy after prophecy detail how one nation would become the greatest, most powerful nation the world has ever seen and, at the same time, kindred great commonwealth of nations would also be on the scene.
Then, just at the pinnacle of their prestige and power these peoples would lose it all, even their freedom – brought down by the result of their sinful lifestyles – and at the hand of an angry God.
Some of the things prophesied to occur to our nations in this time now are:
"But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments" (Jesus Christ, Matthew 19:17). "Keeping the commandments of God is what matters" (The Apostle Paul, 1 Corinthians 7:19).
We in the United States and Britain, the English-speaking, nations have become the greatest nations in the modern world, but we have also become the greatest repository of sinful practices in the world! It has been said that if God doesn't destroy New York and Atlanta, San Francisco and Sydney, London and Liverpool, He owes Sodom and Gomorrah an apology!
The modern identities of nations in the Bible's prophecies are now known. To find out more of what is sure to occur and how you can be better prepared to face the catastrophic events about to happen, download or order on-line our free booklets, The United States and Great Britain in Prophecy and The Ten Commandments.
It is not too late for you to take action.
