In recent years, Canadian women have on average given birth to just 1.48 children each, yet Canada's birth rate is among the highest in the Western world. Demographers tell us that the "replacement rate" is 2.1 babies per woman, and that of all the Western democracies, only the United States' women at 2.11 are keeping pace with death. Nineteen of the world's 20 lowest birth rates are found in Europe, where the overall rate stands at 1.32. Russia stands at an abysmal 1.14.

Today's youth need to understand that a previous generation was manipulated and duped by dishonest people with an agenda, and even some of the perpetrators of this fraud were led astray by their own ignorance, greed or lack of moral character.

All we know about her is that she is a psychiatrist who works in the counseling center of a large well-known American university, that she is a voice crying out against the ills of her profession, and that she is afraid of losing her job if she reveals her identity. In her recently released book, Unprotected, this "Anonymous, M.D." writes, "I once assumed campus medicine and psychology had one priority: student well-being. I'm no longer so naive.

Popular culture proclaims the twin messages of "free sex" and "safe sex," and high schools hand out free condoms. But the question remains, "Is sex outside of marriage either free or safe?" If not, what is the best approach? Do sex education classes and latex giveaways prevent problems? What about abstinence programs?
