Natural Selection or Creation?

Did life as we know it today evolve from nothing? Or was there a deliberate starting point from which all life as we know it today was created?

The Bible says in Genesis 1:1 that the life we see in our world today had a definite beginning. In verse 11 we see that plant life was created. In verse 20 we see that fish, sea creatures, and birds were created. In verse 24, other living creatures made their appearance at God's command. And then came the ultimate creation—humankind, made in the image of God.

9. Nothing is worthy of respect. Nothing is sacred. There are no absolutes. Humankind must make its own way.

This widely held belief or viewpoint is an atheistic, materialistic approach to life. If one holds this view, then there are no real restraints on behavior. After all, who cares? What difference does it make? According to this view, there is no accountability.

Ten really dumb ideas of mankind

As a people, we love "lists." We are eager to see lists of the "Best Dressed," the "Best Books," "The Best Movies," the "Best Restaurants," the "Best Places to Live," the "Best Team," and so on. We love to categorize, group and label. Books of lists are compiled and entertainers make humorous lists, and we get a chuckle out of them.

Sex Sells ... Let the Buyer Beware!

It’s everywhere—lots of flesh, provocative poses, suggestive moves, lyrics and dialogue; all calculated to stir the passions of the listener or viewer, young or old, male or female. The appeal to the desire for physical pleasures is used to purvey every kind of product and service in every form of media. It’s slick. It’s colorful. It’s well done. And, it’s effective. Sadly, great talent and creative ability go into producing this literal flood of images and music, which leads people to focus on misusing something that is wonderful, when used as the Creator God intended.
