Reshaping the Middle East

While political pundits have speculated, Tomorrow’s World has highlighted end-time prophecies related to the Middle East for many years. One key prophecy concerns the coming “king of the South” foretold in Daniel 11. This regional power will be composed of a group of Middle Eastern nations and will aim to control the Holy Land. It will ultimately face off against the German-led European “beast” power and be overcome by it (Daniel 11:40–44). 

Until recently, the nations of the Middle East have been a patchwork of peoples and ethnic groups divided by an ostensibly common religion and differing allegiances. But now, largely through the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump, several Middle Eastern nations are being pushed to work together (The Guardian, October 19, 2025). For example, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan are discussing sending peacekeeping forces to Gaza. It appears that Iraq is being drawn into a more-central Arab perspective and is even considering sending troops to Gaza to contribute to the stabilization force. As one analyst noted, “The ceasefire [in Gaza] could act as an engine of integration within the region. It will reopen all the talk of major land connections from the Gulf to the Mediterranean, as well as the broader conversation about the [diplomatic and economic] normalisation of Israel.”

Rapid and far-reaching changes are now underway in the Middle East, and they are sure to bring about Bible prophecies in one way or another.
