In ancient Greece, physicians took an oath as they began their medical career. A form of the Hippocratic oath has been used for North American doctors for several decades. It includes the prohibition of giving "a deadly drug to anyone who asks for it." We can see that this promise is no longer very compatible with the social demands and expectations of today's society.

Throughout mankind’s history, illness, depression, crime, and war have been thought of as unfortunate but normal. Considerations of global societies where none of these problems exist are often dismissed as fanciful tales of ‘utopia.’ ‘Utopia’ usually refers to an imaginary state, not something that could happen in the real world. The Bible contains many prophecies of a time when conditions on the earth will lack the unpleasant realities we now consider normal. Explore the better world that will soon replace our present world order.
